About us
Plumb Nearly was the name our grandfather gave to our little piece of hunting paradise we were so blessed to enjoy growing up. We’re not sure where he got the name, but his reasoning was that it was located “plumb out of the city, and nearly in the country.”
Papa loved to hunt and fish, but the wild turkey was his passion and forte. He was a godly and faithful man, he loved his family, and he was good at hunting turkeys. We have memories with him, but there are many more that we only know as they’ve been handed down orally.
What we’re trying to do with Plumb Nearly is preserve memories, continue a heritage, and do it all with thanks to the Lord who is the Giver of all good gifts. If those are the types of things you find important, you just might enjoy following along on the ride.
